I started this business as a way of sharing my gift of communicating with animals. When owners or other pet professionals feel like they need help, I offer services that can solve the problem.
I started saving stray animals as soon as I could walk, by 10 years of age I was fostering for Animal Orphanage which was the first animal rescue in Colorado and in 2013 I started my own animal rescue that specialized in taking on animal from CO local shelters and rescues that were deemed un-adoptable for behavior needs. in 6 years we saved 289 animals that otherwise would have been euthanized.
My devotion to animals was nurtured by my experiences which range from real life emergencies such as helping find and retrieve lost animals to professional handling of pure breed dogs for dog shows, such as Cally. Seen here when she was 6 months old doing her handling training at Blue Springs and Katydid in 2008.
My passion is helping animals and people to create calm, clear communication.

Our vision is to bring calm to the world of animals. When we create a relationship based on trust and mentoring, then we get a response of respect and love. Even in excitement, we can have peaceful interactions.

Pictured here is Bruno, an adult Pit Bull from Fremont Humane Society. He was so dog reactive and aggressive that he spent a year at the shelter and no one could help his behaviors including other trainers, that is until Heather volunteered two days to work with him and by the end of the first day he was laying down on leash in the lobby of the shelter as other dogs laid next to him and walked by.
By the second day Bruno went home with Heather where he lived out 9 amazing months living his best life until he had seizures and had to be medically put out of his misery.
Our staff knows that it is about the quality of life, not the quantity that matters most!

Pictured here is Zeus, a pure breed Cane Corso who was surrendered to Heather when he was 10 months old and had been through 5 homes in a week. By the time he came into Heathers life no one could touch him and Zeus had been so emotionally broken that he did not trust anyone!
It took 3 days of offering food and water by hand before he chose to drink instead of trying to attack Heather. He has now lived as a personal dog of Heathers for the past 7 years and is now always loyally at her side.
Animals deserve more patience and dedication than most people are willing to give. This energy is what makes our founder and our services special and why we work hard for every animal that comes into our lives!

Our mission is to see well loved, happy and healthy animals living their best lives!

By the time Ivy was 1 year old she couldn't walk. Heather took her to the best Vet she could find and that vet was named Kevin McAbee at Alameda East. He was one if the best hip surgeons and as luck would have it, Kevin needed a large, young and sweet as pie dog to be the first dog in the US to have a titanium hip replacement. The cost was over $30,000 but with financial help from McAbee himself, a non profit organization called helping hands and care credit Heather was able to get the surgery for Ivy which lead to her living a long and healthy life.
Our experiences allow us to do the best that we can for our animals and other pet professionals.

Our founder and CEO Heather has created this business as a way of serving our community and bringing bravery and empowerment to pet owners and pet professionals. With her 20 plus years in the animal service industry, Heather has created and developed methodologies with a safety first mentality for animals and humans alike.
Heather has been rescuing animals from the time she was 10 years old. She has rescued everything from dogs to horses and squirrels to bats.
Heather has also had unfortunate experiences and has continued to learn and grow from those moments.
Let us tell you a bit about what happened. After almost 5 years as a dog trainer, our founder Heather was violently attacked by a clients dog in 2017. Once the owner walked Heather into the backyard the dog in question ended up being free and without any warning lunged for Heather's throat. Being the professional that Heather is, she acted on instinct and was able to block the dogs bite with her right forearm, which the dog bit into almost severing her thumb nerves. The owner stood next to Heather as the dog proceeded to bite Heather 3 more times in her right thigh. The animal control officer that was called by the hospital as the attack was so brutal, said that the dog was trying to get Heather down to the ground and was trying to kill her. After the 4th bite the owner grabbed their dog off of Heather and Heather immediately vacated the yard and rushed to the local Emergency Room where she spent 5 hours while they cleaned her up and were able to tend to her wounds. The initial cost for the attack was over $7000. If we can prevent even one attack we are creating a quality of life for everyone which is priceless.
Heather had every reason to stop working with animals. Not only did she do therapy to work through the trauma of it all but she also started offering her services to other pet professionals who could benefit from professional coaching to prevent anyone else being harmed while trying to save animals.
These experiences have made Heather a better handler, communicator and coach for animals but more importantly for humans. A human could have prevented her mauling, with proper education we can save lives!

I was contacted about a litter of kittens that were abandoned by their mother under a shed. With-in an hour I was out there with a car jack to lift the shed and crawl under to rescue the kittens.

All of these kittens received medical care and proper nutrition while they grew up, got altered and eventually found loving forever homes by me,

Watching animals suffer due to humans lack of ability or empathy when I was growing up resulted in me finding ways to go above and beyond for those that our community can over look.
